ATT is nne weeks, then he will go back on hold, no way to know how long.  After that, A school is 20 weeks.  After that, he might have to go on hold again, as FC C schools can get backed up.  He;d wait in Great Lakes on graduate hold (better liberty, different barracks than A school) until he gets his C school.  Expect to be at Great Lakes for about a year!  No C schools at Glakes, those tend to be in VA or CA.  He will need a great deal of patience.

Anti M

Thank you. He is still on hold for ATT but says it starts in July. He has been told that A school is only a few weeks, but I told him I read it was over 20 weeks.  Is there much time between ATT and A school?

They've been pretty good about approving those.  I think the overnights have been the problem. Good luck and have fun!

Anti M My sailor is in phase 2 and did not ask for overnights, just a Liberty buddy.

FC is 20 weeks.  Has he finished ATT (9 weeks or so)?

My son is FC on hold for A school which he says will start in July at GL. Does anyone know how long does A school for that rate usually last?

Do any girlfriends/fiancés have experience with liberty chits at GL? I'm visiting my sailor this weekend and he put the request in today. Thanks!

There are usually both day and night courses going. Some people prefer it, others not so much.

My sailor just advised me that he finishes ATT this week and will be moving to a new ship because his A school classes will be evening classes. Any info about evening classes for ET? First I'm hearing evening classes.
