Thanks Alison, that's good to know my daughter will be in OS A school so I hoping she get's to start school quickly but it is good to know they keep them busy.  She could always use cleaning skills which I'm sure she is learning at BC as well but was never that good at it at home:)

What do they do when they are waiting for A school to start?  Do they give them jobs to do?

A school is very frustrating for everyone with all the hurry up and wait and lack of information.  I hope all goes smoothly!

Hi I hope your son starts soon all the best to him!!

Wiffer, while we know the length of each section of his training, that still would not give a graduation date, as we cannot know the length of the holds before and between each section.  Instruction length is a bare minimum.  Only your sailor can tell you when he will be done, and even then, he might not know immediately.
According to the Navy career card, here is the program:
EPACT 25 days
BECC Advanced 18 days
DC Strand 15 days

Again, there may be hold times between each section.  You cannot know if that adds on two or three weeks, or more, or less.

Just to clarify, my child in Damage Control program.  The first program is coming to an end.  The programs were supposed to last 30 days for basic engineering and damage control for 15 days.  Sailor started June 5.
