We went to The Navy Pier when we were there for my son's PIR!  My 2yr. old granddaughter was with us, she loved "The Thomas The Train"  little train ride! It's really cute! and she loved it and we loved watching her!

TiffsMom(Sharon)...glad you're back home safe and sound. I really enjoyed all the pics you posted on FB of your trip. Sound like the Navy Pier is a pretty popular place to hang out....so I've heard! Oh...and Wildberry's... yum. We had breakfast there...never expected so much food..and very tasty.

Hope you had as good a time as it looked in your pics!

PAM... have fun, I just got back from GL on Tues! :)  If you get a chance, the zoo is a wonderful zoo.. and it's free! :)  We also went to the Navy Pier on Sat night and there is a boat (several actually) that go out on the water during fireworks, the cost is 19.00 per person, but Military are free! :)  It was great, cold, but great! :)  We had two of my daughters friends with us for the day and it was nice, granted they talked in acronyms all day, but we had a good time!  We started with breakfast at Wildberry's, then the zoo and then we drove to the Navy Pier and ate at Harry Caray's and then they all rented a bike/something that seats 4-6 and peddled around the town... then on to the boat for fireworks! :)

Angie.. you may know one of Tiff's friends, he works with the CSADD ?? spelling may not be right, but he does a lot of filming around the base, well he was such a nice boy (man) and I'm glad she has made many great friends! :)

ProudGMMom, that is a good one. I was thinking a plaque on my desk or a pumper sticker. I know there are going to be times when I have to remember that sentence.

Jodia, WhiteClay, et al.....thanks for the info!  I'll have to tell my daughter to research all the different systems for the purpose of her "Dream Sheet" only.....bearing in mind that it all comes down to the needs of the US Navy, lol!
