Thank you, Anti M and Hoppi....I was pretty sure the USPS mail goes to the Ship's mail room....

Hoppi - do you still want a mural painted....Dori's granddaughter might just be the one for the job if you can catch her before she heads out to Pensacola....Just a thought.

Night all; I'm going to run out for a late bite to eat.

Will, what a compliment you have paid to your wife. I hope that she knows how much you appreciate her role in your career.

Victoria told me this evening that she will be heading out to Pensacola on August 6. That will be another hurry up and wait but at least a step forward. She said she painted a mural for her chief and really had fun doing it. She said it was so much fun to be able to do something creative and artistic for a change. Her chief appreciated it and gave her a B/Z for it. She felt that getting that for something she loved to do was not quite right.

Vee, the mail goes to the school if I remember right, ours did. Could have changed, probably did. Don't know how it works on hold. yeah, would be good to know!

I had a Top Secret security clearance. Many rates require one, but not all. ETs and FCs, most certainly. There are different levels too, depending on what gear or information they'd be handling. I used to know all the levels, but Ive forgotten. I know about.com has it in each rate description.

Hi again all,

Melanie - I am going out for an early dinner so I can hopefully be back soon enough to pack some more for my trip. I'll try to call you before I leave if we don't connect this evening.

Hoppi/Will - do ALL the Navy rates need this secret security clearance??? Is it something the GMs need? I couldn't get any info out of Michael re: it. I think Gary T is just hopeful it might be a precurser to Nick classing up for A school. How am I doing, Gary?

Hoppi - where does the sailor have to go for his regular USPS mail? Where is the "mailroom?" Sorry, I am a little dense in all this heat we have been having. Heat I can take...but this humidity is unbearable.

Gotta run now; everyone HAGN....

I agree with you Anti M; that's why I want back-up from Will or Hoppi....
HAGD...

Yeah, Vee, I think so too, I just want to be sure I'm not giving out bogus info.

Anti M - I believe everything goes to the mailroom, but I'll let Will and/or Hoppi back me up on this one.

I have a question for Will, or maybe Hoppi. I see a lot of moms asking about mailing things to A schools. I always recommend USPS. Some insist UPS and FEDex work just fine. I know package delivery companies can't possibly have unlimited access to base, and such packages couldn't possibly go directly to the students. Could they? So, do UPS and FEDex packages go into the mailroom like regular mail?

Morning everyone!

Will - you "wax eloquent" and your wife gets a big SHOUT OUT from me today.

Gary - I can't help you on your question right now; I could never get that answer out of Michael. It just sorta fell in that dark pit. I still say Nick's "classing up" is just right around the corner. I'll ask Michael again when I talk with him.

Have a great day everyone and an even better weekend!
