Roni and Gary - you two are really on a roll today....made my day, too!
Melanie, it is very possible with that information DJ's training schedule is different than the GM one I am familiar with. We'll wait for Hoppi or Will to figure it out when you find out if DJ said "A" school.
AND, can't forget a frog for Theresa...lmao

Happy Friday morning everyone! And, my comment below should read "friendS" for all of you.
Roni - thank you for your safe drive wishes! If I get packed today, I'll be on the road early tomorrow. There should be about 15 of us at my son's on Monday. All my Georgia family arrived safely this week into LAX.
Laurie - I'm so glad you heard from Josh and that he arrived safely on his ship. I know you are very relieved.
Gary - have a safe trip to Vegas and drop a couple of quarters for me in a Coyote Moon machine.....lol lol
Anti M- take care of those feet and enjoy the rest of your stay in San Diego.
Brenda - your countdown is almost over....Give that son of yours a big "grandma" hug for me and thank him for serving our country as a US Navy Sailor.
Melanie - what rate is your son going for? Maybe the progression through the training is different for the different rates. For GM, Michael went from BC to Indoc, to SCC, to ATT and is now on hold for A school. Hope this helps. Hoppi will straighten us out...
Got to get packing here; be back later.

San Diego is so much fun. So far we've been to Body Worlds in Balboa Park, Ocean Beach street fair (so many hippies, LOL), and we went to Sea world today. That's fun, but you pay for every little thing. Tomorrow we go to Old Town, and one of the Spanish missions, maybe Point Loma too.

My feet hurt.

Hoppi - sorry to hear that the weather is chilly; come on over here where it has been in the 90s for days now. Glad you have had fun while here in California and enjoy the rest of your leave. BBQ on Sunday sounds fun; mine will be with all my family in SoCal on Monday.....I'm driving down to the LA area on Saturday.
Good evening, Will....I was wondering where you were hiding out...should have known it had to do with Star Trek....lol lol All is well out here. HAGN

Melanie, WOW that was quick for DJ to get his verbal orders. I didn't think they got them until they were in A school; so see what I DON'T know. Also, he is moving from SCC to ATT much quicker than some have in the past. It appears that many of the sailors are headed to San Diego. My "digits" are crossed for both of our boys. I haven't heard anything yet from this end, and will let you know the minute I know.
(((HUGS))) all..........

Awe, Roni, that was such a special post for Laurie and your comment about crying as moms releasing pressure off our hearts had me in tears. I love the way we all stick together on this site.
Beth - so glad your lost package has now been found.....
