Hi again everyone! Looks like you all have been busy today while I have been out running around.
Karen C - Yes, I am home safe; but don't know how sound...lol lol
Gary T - it looks like Nick is off to a great start in ATT...good for him!
Deb M - ever since Michael has been on the school side, his addresses have BEQ in them. Are you aware that they call the barracks "ships" on base? I think this might be confusing you. If not, just scratch what I said....lol
Roni - girlfriend....how nice to see you on here often again! What show are you talking about with the new episode tonight???

Good Morning everyone! RONNNNNI....you are really back! Yea! And a HUGE WELCOME to our newbies. Like Roni said, "ask away as there is no such thing as a stupid question." And our leaders love to answer them. Yes, Hoppi made me home sick for the "city by the bay"...guess I'll have to get over there again SOON.
Everyone go out there and make it a great day!!!!

Hi all, I have arrived back home safely from my trip to SoCal this weekend.
Gary T...glad to hear Nick has classed up for ATT school...wish him the best of luck for me. He sure didn't have to wait long!!
Shannon - thanks for the feedback on the Buena Vista. Great fun place; and I hope to go back some day, grab a bar stool and sip a few...lol
Kelly - you said it so correctly...."most fun I had in SFO" and I second that! We were there the year the baseball season opener was cancelled, so we just hung out at the BV most of the day...people watching!!! Met some great folks doing the same thing we were doing since the game was cancelled. Half the fun is taking the cable car down to the turn-around...
RONI.....you are baaaaack! WooooooHooooo~~

Morning everyone, I'm hoping William or Hoppi can help me with these questions. First, my son is in GL and would like to come home for a weekend but it will be more then 300 miles......should he request deviation from liberty buddies or should he request leave? Also, second question is, Does A school include the four years of Active Duty? Would appreciate any information on these questions.

Beautiful Sunday morning to everyone and a HUGE WELCOME to our new members!! Mr. Will....duty is no excuse for not being on here....lmao So glad to see you are back.
Hoppi...one of my favorite things to do in SF years ago was to jump on the Hyde and Powell St.cable car and take it to the turn around at the wharf. Then get off and go across the street to the Buena Vista right on the corner and have a Ramos Fizz or Irish Coffee...I hope it is still there. I'm really dating myself because this was in the 60s...ouch, am I that old??? Have fun in that great city by the bay.. .

Good weekend everyone! Make it a great one! I have to apologize for a comment I left yesterday. I was on my granddaughter's page by mistake and didn't realize that it posted as coming from Kendra, Proud Sister of Michael. So, just over look that boo boo! Liesa Marie - I will send you a friend request today and then we can exchange phone numbers via a PM....You probably have a friend request from Kendra...so just ignore that one...Sorry for the confusion.
HEY RONI.....so glad to see you back!

Corey went in as MM but his rate is FA... I was just talking to a Mom here in Erie. Her son is a couple steps ahead of Corey and recently left Great Lakes. She said that after the BECC class her son did STRAND.... Now what is that ???!!!
Comment by Kathy (Corey's Mom) on April 23, 2009 at 10:57pm
Ok Hoppi & Will I have one of those questions... My son, Corey, is a FA and is currently taking his Basic Engineering Common Core class. Is that it and he is done with A School or is there another class after that?
Hoppi that story of the fire on the ship gave me goosebumps... Corey's decision for the Navy makes me so proud.
