Laurie - My T'Beau is white and beige with a little black on the tips of his ears, but he has almost lost all his black. I'm trying to get his grooming set up for tomorrow or Thursday. I keep him really short in the summer when it is hot here and leave him longer in the winter months. I do bathe him inbetween groomings in the summer out in the yard in a small kids' swimming pool....but bending over and trying to handle him is about all I can handle. lol

Hi Helen, as Becky answered A School is the first "job" specific training after BC. For instance, my grandson is going for his GM (Gunners Mate) rate and his A School will be training for that rate. After BC and before A school, he had to complete SCC training on the Enterprise and completed his Phase II. He is now in ATT school and after he completes this part of his training, he will move on to A school. I hope this helps until the "big guns" can be more specific.

Good morning all and a big welcome to our "newbies"...just look at us grow!

Will, I think a question by Elizabeth may have fallen into the cracks yesterday; just in case it did, here it is again:
"Comment by Elizabeth 17 hours ago Thank you everyone for the WELCOME! =)
Will, (can I call you that?) thanks for the response. So that sounds good. What floor is the day ship for males going to be. I hope you say the second floor lol. Another thing, from what I have been hearing from everyone on NFM the enterprise seems to be a ship that you really do not stay at. Is that going to be changing since you are implementing the new 50/50 thing? I guess what I would like to know is there was a call that sent some sailors recently to other ships, is that going to happen again?"

Laurie, aren't Shih Tzus the sweetest dog ever? My T'Beau is a little large (he must have been the giant of the litter), but he is such a great companion. He will be 7 yrs old this July and I have had him since he was 9 wks old. Now to go call and get his grooming appointment since Will declined the job. lol Have a great day everyone!!!

Hey Will, got ya another one to put under your wing. I have been corresponding with Gary on Navy Dads for some time now and when he told me his son was going to your ship I sent him here for your tutelage. Don't hurt him to bad LOL. Good night all. Peace and Godspeed to our sailors. Bill

Evening, Will...our 113th member, Gary F.T., has a question for you a few comments earlier....don't want you to miss another chance to "sweat." lol lol
Goodnight and catch up with you tomorrow. I've got to get in front of the TV to watch Dancing With the Stars in a few minutes....

Gary, this is the first service experience for me ever. Michael is my youngest grandson and it took a big adjustment for me. However, like you, I am so proud of him and his choice of service. The only difference is that when I send him answers or information, he tells me that his leaders on his ships have already told him....I still think it gives him peace of mind to know that I care enough to stay involved and keep him encouraged. The time between PIR and ATT was long and he was so relieved to get his ATT started. Goodnight for now and Will should be here shortly. Vee

Hi Gary and a huge WELCOME to our group where you will definitely get your questions answered by Will, our leader, who is the SDC on the Enterprise. Will is blessed with two assistants who get the job done in his absence...Hoppi and Chris D. My grandson, is also in the GM career path, and just began his ATT school last Thursday. His PIR was the same date as Bill Sick's son and I believe they started ATT school the same date. Will is enjoying dinner right now and will be back on in a little while with the answer to your question. Again, welcome from the gang here...you have come to the right site. Vee

Natalie - at least my doggie is pretty small..about 21 pounds. Big for a Shih Tzu, tho. I bathe him in the summer when it is warm, but I wouldn't attempt to groom him. I can't even remember when I was at Disneyland last time...so glad you enjoyed it.
Theresa...hi there! You must have worked today???? I'm going to call it an evening and I'll catch you all later. HAGN everyone!
