DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I am with you Kelly! My crocus's have just started to bloom and they are typically at this stage 3-4 wk late this year!!
I just finished "Sunday at Tiffanys" last weekend, and it was sooooo nice to do something for just "ME" for a change! I am getting ready to start "Letters for Nicholas" soon as I can get a small amount of time again, guess I am doing the JP thing backwards! Reading can be so rewarding!
Good luck for this next stint Hoppi! Say, can sailors take their computers on their ship with them, even tho they arent on line? (To watch movies, play games, write letters-yeah right!, etc?) They are provided other ship computers to share with everyone then, to email, etc?

From the ultimate shopper--me! Other than Navy Pride stuff that you can't get anywhere else, you'd be wise to compare prices just as you do in civilian life. The NEX and commissary aren't necessarily the cheapest. We've found that Wal-mart and Sam's sometimes have far better prices. In Norfolk my son sometimes found Food Lion the best for food. Shop around especially for computers, etc.

Happy First Day of Spring everyone and a big welcome to SANDRA!! My grandson, Michael, is also at GL; he has completed SCC school and is on hold for ATT then to GM (Gunners Mate) school. You will meet some wonderful people on here and find a great support system here, also.
Have a great day everyone!

OK, soybeans is hard to "digest" (no pun intended!) I am from the grand ole' midwest, and we grew them things...I know what is done with them beans! I find that hard to swallow! (again, no pun intended!) Ha Ha! Each to their own, do so in moderation, and keep an open mind! We are what we eat!
