Kelly, I saw that post about the undies....got a good laugh out of it because I know my kid is a boxer brief guy....lol So, I'm sure he is excited now. He should get my "care package" tomorrow with a whole lot of grandma's baked goodies in it, plus fresh jerky. I just hope it shipped ok....

Hi Kelly and Roni....you gals are right on top of this today!!! THANKS~~
Kelly - You answered even one of my questions I didn't ask and that was what is a Depper...makes sense now. My granddaughter didn't explain that to me. Michael must have been in the Delayed Entry Program while in high school because I remember he was very involved with his recruiter at that time. To bring you up-to-date, he joined 11-12-08; PIR 01-09-09; has completed his training on the Enterprise; is in Phase II or beyond and is on hold for ATT school right now and is housed on the USS Porter. I believe my granddaughter (his sister) is confused and thinks that being a DEPPER is why he is on hold, but I tried to explain the hold to her. Thanks bunches!!!
Roni...Yesterday while driving back from SoCal, it was drop dead gorgeous, but today it's cloudy...kinda warm, but I can't get motivated to do leaves today...lol
It's supposed to be clear and sunny tomorrow, so I'll put it off one more day. I've got my motorcycle club meeting tonight; wanna come along and be a "biker babe?" ROTFLMAO with you

Good afternoon ALL....Will you gotta be so proud of your sailors working on that mural....what a great job they are doing!!
I have a question probably for Will or Hoppi....what is the "delayed entry program?" I just found out that is how Michael joined and I have no clue exactly what it means....thanks so much.........Vee

Hi all...Glad to be back. I went down to my daughter's for a couple of days (Michael's mom) to give her support. She misses him very much. He did call last night and talked to all 3 of us (his mom, his sister and me) which was wonderful. I showed Michael's 12-yr old sister the Navy for Mom's site and she started a group for sisters which I thought was neat.

Thanks Theresa and Roni for the welcome back....let's PARTY or HIT THE ROAD!! Vee
