Hi Dawnn'
We definitely are here for each other. My son just returned from a seven month deployment, his first. This may be hard to believe, but I was at peach with myself during his deployment, (he is on a destroyer). So if you have questions, ask away, you know someone will have your answer.

For those going to PIR you need to check into cost of flying into Milwaukee if you are flying as it can be a lot cheaper and it is the same distance and very easy to get to and from. I saved over $200 on the tickets by doing this.
Hello,
I am new to this group. We live in Stockton, and our son is at Great Lakes for basic training PIR date is 2/4/11. I would like to become involved with this group so any info. would be helpful. Thank you.
Hi all;
My sailor is home on leave, mostly visiting his friends, but I just finished making one of his favorites, Chicken Burritos, and he's off to see friends.
Sharon,
A M&G sometime in January would work for me, or a Sunday afternoon in Februrary or March. I think April is going to be just too stressful this year. I don't have any special requests as to location.
Blue stars is the 20th this Month, hope to see you there.
Welcome, to all our new members. To those with sons/daughters in Boot Camp, PIR is a wonderful experience, its your sailor's day to shine, and they really do shine.
Happy New Year to all!!

He's still in Fresno, but like you, that hug was unbelievable. He seems so grownup now. Where did my baby boy go? He should be here in a while, he had to stop and get some California clothes.
