BQB-

Can't wait until noon, boy I wish we didn't have to have the gloomy's when they leave, but that's what N4M's is all about.  Thanks for the cheer now, and all times when you've been there for us.

Happy New Year to everyone. To moms with sailors coming home - what joy! Savor the precious times, make lots of memories - so you can relive them when they leave. My boy left on Tuesday. I am still mopey.

Hi Nancy--

Hang in there, he will write, but it might a few weeks before you get a letter.  I only the first information packet letter, then had to wait 3 1/2 weeks for the next letter, but I got 4 letters that day.  They get to write letters on Sundays, if they have everything done and no one in the group got in trouble.  When you get frustrated just post a line and we'll do our best to give you a place to vent.  When you next write to your brother, tell him "thank you" from me for his service.

Holly--

YOu should be getting some mail from you son soon.  Telephone calls are like gold to the recruits.  I didn't get a phone call from my son until about 2 weeks before PIR, so hang there.  This was the first Christmas that my sailor wasn't home either, but I'm very lucky he will be here on Friday, if the airports open up.  When you write to your son, give him a big Thank You from me.

My son arrived in Great Lakes 2 weeks ago...I haven't heard from him since....I've been sitting on my phone...I can't imagine not seeing him for as long as some of you moms have gone without seeing your kids....Christmas was bitter sweet...new grand baby but first holiday without him...His twin brother stayed in bed all day and said it doesn't feel like Christmas...They have never been apart....I know this has to get easier I hope it's soon...I wish all of you a safe and Happy New Year : ) Hugs To You
