Rachel, I posted a response to your question on September 25 with a link to basic information. Please go back one page.
Lorraine, 17 of us are having dinner at the Marines' Memorial Hotel on Saturday night. Two tables at 7:10 and 7:40. There is room for 2 more, if you would like to join us. In the same comment posted on Sept 25, I have a link to the Event posted on the San Francisco Bay Area Navy Families group site.
We are really looking forward to it.

Computer tip for those with poor eyesight.
Did you all know that you can "increase" or "decrease" the size of everything on your screen, by holding down the "Ctrl" key with one finger and turning the little dial on top of your mouse? Try it. I just found out about this little trick and thought I had invented sliced bread.

There are "social" meet and greets throughout the year. Everyone is welcome to attend any of the events with any group. Many of us cross over and are multiple groupies.
Love the photos! I missed that meet and greet - had to work - :(

Read this blog to get a jump start on how to use the N4M site.
Welcome to New Members

Of particular importance is the use of the “Search” function. You should do searches in blogs, forums, discussions for answers in previously posted threads BEFORE adding a NEW blog/discussion.

Check your page (click on MY PAGE) & status box (INBOX, FRIENDS, SETTINGS) often. If you don't you'll never find out what messages your new N4M friends have left

Timsmom-
Please thank your son for his service for me. What a wonderful thing your son is doing for the next four years. My son PIR'd on 12/4/9 and was deployed in May.

I have finally unloaded the pictures of the Meet N Greet. The first one, is me talking with son when he called from port during our MnG. The second one is a group photo of those of us attending.

I really like the music on this page! My son's PIR is 10/15/2010 so I cannot make the pillow making event. Thanks for having a Central California Group!
