Wolf Girl.....We all go through the first time our children missing things, they would prefer not to, but its their job. I still remember the last time I spent Mother's day with my son in 2000. Its been away, maybe that's why it was so special.

We are still in need of fabric for pillow cases. We have selected Oct 16th as our day to get together here in Sacramento to sew. So if you would like to come and join us in sewing we'd love to have you. If you would like to send along the fabric we would love to have it also. Just PM me and I will send you my address.

Sharon-
Our next BSM meeting will be at VA Hospital to distribute the bears we made last spring. We will meet at 6:30 near the VA nursing home, I have better instructions at home. Boxes are being distributed to locations now, and several Moms (including me) took boxes to place at our work places.
I left my calendar at home, so I'll get back to you on october 23.

I;d go as far as Tulare, thats kinds mid-way between Fresno and Bakersfiled for a meet N greet for the new members, but the next one should be in Fresno, so we don't have to travel quite so far.
To all al our members
Welcome to the group.

Hi Nicolas etc,
Here are the members in THIS group who are from Bakersfield. Just click on the names and post a comment on their profiles. You can also search for people from Bakersfield who are NOT in this group by going to MEMBERS on the above menubar and input "Bakersfield" in the search box. You'll see the entire N4M list. You can use this search function to find anyone on N4M but spelling is important. I had done this last year and connected with many members who did not know about our local group by sending invitations to join our group.

Need some assitance:

A couple of us have volunteered to help with a service project for sailors. We are undertaking the task of making a pillowcases for every sailor on the USS Abraham Lincoln for christmas 2010.

Currently we need to make 200 pillow case.

What we need help with is fabric. I know some of you have sewn in the past and have a stash of fabric lingering around.

If you have any 100% cotton, mim 1 yard that you would be willing to donate to our project we would greatly appreciate it.

Please contact me if you are able to help us with this project.

Thanks!

PS: My son is not on this ship, but these individuals are in the Navy family and its just my way of saying Thank you..
