Welcome Jennifer-
My son left before his scheduled Jan 2010 BC date, he had two weeks notice, his recruiter was in Clovis. He graduated BC in early December, finished A school two weeks ago, and is headed for his ship today.

Sharon --
So we both sit and wait for their orders, seems like I've been doing that since he left for boot camp in early October.

Hi BHappy,
oh my gosh, yes I'm getting really excited now. I can't wait to see him. I have had so many things racing thru my mind about what I'm taking, where we are staying, and how everything is going to work out. I feel like I'm just going forget everything! I can see alot of lists in my very near future......lol =)

Hi everyone, I'm happy to report Jeff is not a grad and go. He will ship out for south carolina on the 13th. That is a big relief! So we will have at least a couple of days to spend together.

Hi, Yes it makes sense =) Jeff will be going to south carolina for "A" school. Wow, your son's whole division? Maybe I should call jeff's recruiter and see if he knows anything. Thank you all for sharing all this good information with me.

Any time you have a service memeber departing or arriving you can request a pass to the gate. If you have a departing service member they can request it for you when they check in with the airlines.

If you are meeting a arriving service member, you need a copy of their orders. Present the orders to the airline counter person to recieve a pass to the gate.

Hope all of you get to see your sailors soon!
