No we have not gotten any mail as he left us not even a week ago (Tuesday), we just got the phone call from the night he arrived. What is your son's name? I will ask Korbin when I write him if he remembers him. I hope to get a letter in Sept. after 2 weeks. How about you? Where is your son headed for A-School?

Kanuckone - my son graduated from Insight but was the MA of the DEP group so they probably know each other well!  Have you received your letter yet telling you the Ship and Div?

Hi- yes, our son graduated from Thunder Ridge and went to the Littleton DEP group. Sounds like they may graduate the same time! Where is your son going to A-School?

Hello fellow Navy Moms,

I am in Highlands Ranch and my son just went to BC on Tuesday. Any mom's in a similiar place?

Hello Colorado moms,  I have a daughter who has been in BC for a week now.  I am so happy to find a support group with our state.

Saw my daughter off yesterday. I'm so glad DIA has a policy for military families to be able to see their loved ones off at the gate. We were able to walk with her and wait with her for her flight. Any moms still waiting to see their kids off may want to ask if they want you to go with them. It helped us take that extra time, even though she slept for some of it. I loved just being able to be there for her. We also took time to talk just talk about whatever was on our minds.

I am on A school in Pensacola where my twin #1 is in A school, I am about to switch to a ship and div group for twin #2 who just went to boot camp. When he graduates I will be on nuke moms. The Pensacola group is proving to be a lot of fun. Anyway you keep graduating to groups as your sailor moves on in their path. I happen to be following two sons and soon a third.

Thanks CO-TwinSalorsMom! I've seen your posts on Emptynesters as well. Difficult isn't it. But every day we get up and maybe it gets just a little better. Do you have other pages that you found helpful? I did join Leaving in August. I really need to set up a computer, finding it hard to navigate the site from my phone!
