First son Steve left yesterday, feel strange to know he will not be coming home. Got a call and a txt from him yesterday and today.  He had to go to Denver yesterday and he flew out for Chicago this afternoon.  Expect the infamous  15 second call around midnight.  This is the first time the twins have been apart and they will be mostly from now on, Sam is struggling with this.  Sam goes in April and he will be a nuke also.

Gail,

That is close!  I live off of Santa Fe and C470.  I'd love to meet sometime.  My son hasn't left yet but I'd like to hear more about what to expect.  Hawaii's not a bad place to be stationed!  I think if Jared ended up there I'd have to go visit :-)  What does your son do?  Jared is going to be an aviation ordnanceman.

I live in Highlands Ranch, but I am a teacher and have to obviously work most Fridays.  I'd love to join you if I am off on a Friday though.

Hi Toni!  I live in Broomfield, and get together with friends to craft and chat almost every Friday during the BVSD school year.  If you are not working full time, and have Friday available, contact me and I will pass along particulars.  We meet at BUMC in church gym across from Broomfield High School from 9 to 11:30 Fridays.  There are two of us Military moms who are regulars right now...the more the merrier!  I am taking a jewelry making class, there are lots of choices and even a group that meets so they can each finish up their own individual projects.  Classes are reasonable, $ 20. for 5 weeks, and childcare is avail. at small extra charge, for those who still have young children or babysit grandchildren.  We have a brunch on Dec 14th, then Holiday break, and start up again the 4th of January.  All adult women, any age, are welcome, and we follow the Boulder Valley School District calendar and snow days guidelines. Let me know if anyone who reads this is interested.  ToriPS@gmail.com

Hi Toni - A group of us just met in Castle Rock for lunch on Oct 13th.  Sorry you missed it.  We were talking about another gathering in January so keep in touch here.

Hi Twin Sailors Mom - Welcome to the group and we all understand what you are going through.   There are some really great people here who can get you though the tough times and answer questions.

Hi my son is on deployment through May. I live in the Denver area and am wondering if any moms ever get together. Looking above it does not look like it happens very often. I love all the chatting on FB and N4M but I think it would be very nice to actually get some Navy moms together (after the holidays of course) for some much needed fun:)
