Nate's mom- That would be great! Thanks for the offer. How long has your son been deployed?
Nate's Mom- I do not know yet. He is not leaving for basic training until May 7th so we will have to wait a while to find out. Does your son have a ship already?
PamJ, here are a couple links for groups that you may want to join since your son isn't leaving until May.
This is the link for Deppers here on this site

Both of these groups will have lots of information for you.
My youngest and oldest sons traded a virtual baton yesterday, as they were both in a European town, one on his way home and a last port before heading west and the other on his way to meet his ship at sea in the Gulf, they got to exchange a few texts and a phone call as one was at the airport and one the port, their first deployments PIR was 10/11 and 6/12
Eversteamco I ordered mine yesterday...thanks so much I can't wait to hang it over the fireplace this year...
For those of us with deployed Sailors..... these would be great for care packages for the upcoming holidays, so thought that I would share.....
Saleens - Just to clarify. I've stayed in Great Lakes a bunch of times, I like the cleanness and closeness of the Navy Lodge. This Navy Lodge (ie Great Lakes) is the only one where you don't need your sailor there to book it. You book it yourself and you need to book it early. They go quick. I would say to book it as soon as you read this. You can always cancel it.
