While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

DH987, my husband graduated on the 10th as well in div. 199. I am so incredibly proud of him! I love being able to talk to him and text so frequently. I'll bet our guys know each other. :) so glad rtc is over!

DH987, congrats on the new sailor, from SR, to SN, to HN. It's a journey! I got a chuckle out of my son's voicemail when I left him a message yesterday. He's so proud of his new designation his voicemail message now say, "You have reach the phone of HN ________, please leave a message."

DH, congratulations is he leaving for SAT today? Bootcamp is an experience. I think it is worse for the parent than the SR.

Good morning!!!
Here we are, at Great Lakes still as my son just graduated June 10th from the bootcamp. He will be shipping out this weekend to start his HM class for the next 14 weeks. Needless to say that I am very very proud of him!! I am also very happy that this bootcamp part belongs to the past!! And now to look up for the future in the Navy! Oh do not get me wrong here but bootcamp was an experience for a mom that you cannot forget... :) Have a great day!!!

Five10Fevr, my sailor just started Lab Tech C school in SA in May. From what he has said for Lab Tech training, there is six months of class room instruction done in SA. In his classes there is both Navy and Army. "They" are also trying to work in the Airforce requirements, and plan on having future classes include Navy, Army and Airforce. After class instruction there will be six months of clinical training, done either in SA, San Diego, or I believe Virginia (I could be wrong about the last location).

I don't know. They may have your sailor move barracks. I honestly donakt know how that works. I didn't ask my son where in washington but I'll ask him tomorrow.
