For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by Dianne on February 27, 2010 at 6:43pm: A message from my son's CO: BENFOLD is not in any danger at all. Crew is far out to sea and all is well. We are standing by to assist if there is actually any tsunamis generated from this. San Diego is a very well protected natural harbor that has been around many a year.
It's so awesome that he takes the time to let up know what is going on.

Prayers for all of our troops stationed in Hawaii today. Three of our destroyers and one Guided Cruiser have been sent out to sea this morning in preparation for the potential Tsunami in Hawaii.

I ordered the larger banner for our son's homecoming(s) but it is long and bulky I would recommend ordering the small size. They are so much easier to manage.

I love my Ombudsman but sometimes she is really slow at answering. I really don't want to take that sign with me to California if I'm not allowed to bring it on base.
