I think a get-together would be great! Tempe is a good spot. How about 10/02 or 10/09?

I will if you will! That sounds fantastic. Have a wonderful time!
Moms, cost for non-military is $60 per person. The event starts with an Aloha Social Hour at 6 pm (cash bar), followed by dinner (three entree choices) and the program, and ends with dancing to a live dance band. Parking is free, and the Embassy Suites has a reduced rate of $120 for Navy Ball attendees if you choose to stay overnight! Registration form: OCT 9 2010 NAVY BALL REGISTRATION FORM-1.pdf

I'm going, absolutely! I got to attend the 110th Corpsman Ball in Portsmouth, VA and it was just an amazing experience. The Birthday Ball is a great way to celebrate ALL our sailors. Plus who doesn't want to dress up and dance too? :) Prices go up $10 after 9/15 btw. It would be SO great for us AZ Navy Moms to meet up and have a good time!
