I feel that to err on the side of dressier is better. A lot of women DO dress well, and I think it's a measure of respect to the sailors and the officers, all of whom are in dress uniform. You don't have far to walk, and you're sitting most of the time. And the photos will last a lifetime.....

CBsMom Ship 12Div185: Go comfortable. When my son graduated we had moms there from way over dressed (high heels - ugh) to jeans. Remember, you have to sit on aluminum bleachers. Wear comfy shoes & clothing. Jeans and tennis shoes are completely acceptable.

I was running around downtown Scottsdale this afternoon, no rain, just wind and chilly. And I hear after the weekend it's going to cool down again?! I don't get it!
Are you able to go to PIR?

Isn't this weather something else?! 30% chance of rain yesterday turned into downpours here. Enjoying it while it lasts!
Thanks for letting us know about Recruiter Appreciation Day. The Paradise Valley recruiting office rocks; they continue to be a great resource for me when I'm looking for Navy info. My son's gone back and addressed Deppers; and I stop in occasionally when there's something to brag about ;) or just to say Hi. Think I'll drop off some cookies 5/15!
We need to plan another get-together soon.........

Went to a great 'Navy Week' luncheon this week and got to visit with Commander Darryl Toppin, who swore in my sailor in 2007 - nice!

Thank you Kim for being such a fabulous hostess! We had a great potluck luncheon at her beautiful home yesterday. We dined on yummy dishes outside on her patio overlooking her pool and waterfall and peaceful view of a saguaro-studded mountain beyond. It was such a beautiful 80 degree day we moved our chairs into the sunshine for coffee and dessert and talk, talk, talk. Now we have to plan our next get-together!
