TKS4- just be strong for her...my prayers are with you and your daughter... my sister still goes to the gym to work out with her friends in RCU...
Darlene- oh my I am tearing up... I know exactly how it feels... my sister was in the hospital by herself when that PIR date came... She was just crying on the phone and wanted to say goodbye to her division!
just hang in there...
*Praying for everyone in RCU and FIT!*
Darlene- thank you! you and navynrocks will soon get that call too!!!
My Sailor's little sis (age 13) broke both bones in her lower leg at the same time this summer when he hurt his ankles in Basic- He took the time to send her money for legos to keep her sane while healing - even when he was working towards his run himself. The time he spent in RCU and FIT really helped to give him empathy and determination. She just got out of her boot, with only a brace and crutches. He keeps encouraging her, I love that the Navy has brought out the best in him. Navyrocks - your son will be so strong and you will be so proud!!!
Sandy- haha! yeah! my sister still can't believe that she is walking around the base... she can't believe that she does not exercise everyday... she can't believe that she had a liberty on saturday and saw Transformers!
We chat on yahoo messenger with the camera... she's proudly showing us that she has her leg back! :)
So true Sandy! Funny thing is his letters come w/venting but his calls have Spirit and optimism to move on ,so i will settle for that any day. Said the food not as great on this "ship" unit but could be worse things.
I wish they would give them an option to run outdoors vs a smelly, musty gym
but oh yeh there in the military.ha
