This too is our first Thanksgiving without our sailor. He's there in Groton. I really miss him today. I talked to him earlier and he said most of his friends were gone for the day. I hope he had a nice dinner and maybe found some others who didn't go home for the holiday. Although we are not together we are thankful that he is doing well and we do hope to see him at Christmas.

Rob said that his grad from BESS is Dec 5th. Anyone else aat that time? I wish we could go but not this time. He said it is no big deal but it always is to us mom's. Hopefully he will be home for Christmas. He said he then has a class after BESS but I can not remember what he called it, too many letters to remember all of these designations. I'll have to start writting them all down.

I have been reading yall post, and I have to laugh my son has been at Groton since about 1/23 he is in his A school now. We hope he finishes about Jan. He also hopes to get station their at Groton. As for girls the guys are told to leave the girls alone around the base because they are under age. I told my son he is to young to think about a girl (he is 20) that he needed to finish school. My son likes to just hang out at the mall or the liberty center or play his computer or xbox anything to stay out of trouble.

Dawn, Just talked to Robert he said all but about 3 guys had Yellow card liberty Friday, so maybe Aaron had it then. According to Rob the color of your liberty card determins how far youy can go. Yellow being just short distance. Blue card liberty is upto 350 miles. Hope that helps.

Dawn, Robert said he had liberty on Friday, They went to the mall. He had to buy jeans as the ones I sent no longer fit him. He did say that the leave for Thanksgiving was only for about 300 miles from base, but thta he would be home for Christmas. I thought he said Dec 19th-28th. Do you get to talk to Aaron much? It seems that since Rob got his phone he calls more then when he was home. Hope Aaron get liberty soon.
