We have a great group from Ft Hood, as we all know Ft Hood takes a very special piece of mine and Sue's heart. This group is in need of some love from home and we are the ladies to send it their way. There are 600 in this group and we will be breaking it down into 3 waves. The First on will start shipping right after Chrismas. Please remember that it is cold in Afghanistan so if you want to include Chocolates in your box go right ahead, just make sure they are in ziplock bags please. Please make sure you send both Sue and I an email with your counts and the wave you would like to ship on, it looks like we got the first one covered.

MaryEllen,
I will do 30 for wave 2, and include some chocolates!
Terri B.
Yes, Maryellen is right about that photo.
A Navy mom sent that to me Thanksgiving weekend 2009 and said "Sue, I think that soldier needs a special pillowcase."
Dori did the research on the photo and found that it was of a unit heading to Afghanistan AND they had been at Ft Hood the day of the terrorist attack.
Maryellen took on the big job of seeing if we could adopt that unit. The rest is history. ME, do you know off the top of your head how many pcs we have mailed to those Ft Hood units that were there that terrible day? I have the info, but it would take me a few days before I can compile it.
Please add Gwen for 50 and Arlene for 30 in wave 1. We might be able to do this in 2 waves.

there was 1 more that Cathy, Matt's mom got for us. About a year ago. I'll look thru my records, but I think they were in Kuwait or one of those countries. and thanks for the info and don't forget about the fallen families from that day.
MaryEllen,
Sign me up for 25 pcs for the 3rd wave. I'll be in Florida from just after the new year until the 15th of Jan. So, the 3rd wave will work for me.
Because it took so long to get the address, I have adjusted the mailings a bit to:
wave 1 12-28 thru 1-2-3
wave 2 1-12 thru 1-16 and we can leave wave 3 as is.
mailed so far: Ginnie 20 and Patty B 45
Susan S is mailing 30, Arlene 60, Sue L (me) 25, Maryellen 30. Waiting for confirmation on Debbi M, Cabbage Rose, Gwen
Betty F is moved to wave 2 and she will mail 36.
Also in wave 2 is: Ethel, Terry D, Cindy S, Brenda P-25, Linda S - 25-30, Betty N, Janie
Thanks to all!
Got the new wave 2 dates. Can someone send me the address? Thanks.
I will be sending it out Ally.
Did you check into getting the game box from USPS? Did I tell you about them?
They are a rectangle shape. I just packed my 36 plus candy and some lessons into one. I pack them in groups of 3. I seal 1 end, and put each group into a plastic grocery bag so I can slide it in real easy, just in
case I need to make an adjustment.
The most I have gotten in was 43 but there is another gal who gets 45 in. It ships for the same $13.45.
www.usps.com They are free also and you can order them online. Check it out.
Mailed by 12-31 also is Susan S-30 and Debbi M - 50
