Major Doug is with the brigade.  He said that anytime we want to mail pillowcases, he will make sure that they get to soldiers.

We mailed 120 in November and that's where the postcard came from a week ago.

We are planning to mail again this weekend.  If you have any to mail, contact me for his address.  Here's what he has said recently about the pillowcases:

Sue,
First of all, I want to tell you THANK YOU for all you have sent and done for this unit. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed and the guys really appreciate it.

As to the pillowcases, please send them to me and I will distro accordingly.

You're the best!

Respectfully,

Doug

Thanks!

Several of you have said that you have stashes and I didn't write it down. Sorry.
So if any of you do have 20-30 that are looking for a home, this group is very appreciative. This is the same battlion that I got the postcard from last week.

AND you are the best! We are a team. I don't know about you all, but my stash calls to me. It says "hey lady, find me a home". Does your's call out to you too?

This is who/what I have so far:
Michele 55 Dawn 22 Pat K 30 Sue (NE) 20 Cheryl 20 Sheryl 10 Ally 20 Maryellen has some too, but I don't know how many.
Sue, is there a particular theme or gender for these?
no theme. these are army, mostly men with some Air Force. thnaks!
I'll see what I can come up with and let you know.
that will be just great! Just got another contact-marines this time. They just deployed, so will do them later.

thanks for all of your help!
Ok, I hit Hancock's today and went crazy! lol the poor girl looked at my pile of bolts and you could tell she didn't want to be my friend. haha I will get busy as soon as I can. My 13 month old granddaughter has been with us since Wednesday night and we will have her thru Sunday. She always wants to help so I don't get much done. She is my sunshine and my sailor is missing her sooooo much
hi Kim, that sounds great! I love Hancocks. I met Mr. Hancock many years ago at a meeting in Washington DC. He started the fabric store in Tupelo, MS. I must be on a trivia kick tonight.

maybe you can let her "help" you fold the fabric after washing it? She might think that is fun.

But most important of all, give her your time, the fabric can wait, is your son deployed?
I mailed 35 pillowcases to Major Doug today.

Love the prints.... those look awesome!
Great job, Matt's Mom. They look very nice!
those pillowcases are beautiful .
Matt's Mom,
You do nice work.
