I simply don't know where the time goes!!!!

WOW!!!! I am behind on news.
Our current numbers are:
ytd = 2,520 and ptd = 75,261
Since my last post in March, we have mailed to an OH National Guard unit, the USS Porter (a ship that was shot at by the Russians), the USS Wayne E Meyer and an AF unit.
We are currently waiting on confirmation from a Seabee unit. If you have pillowcases made, please let me know.

I  posted notes and photos in 2016 misc, 2017 misc and the USS Wasp etc.  that's what I put in the update plus this:

Coming up in April, we have a couple of more AF units, plus we are working on more ships.  If you
have a loved one or friend who is deployed, please let me know.  It really works best if I can contact
them direct instead of going thru a 3rd party.
And as always, your continued support of this  grassroots project is always appreciated.  The shipping
went up again, but not $3.00 per box like last February!!!    But a raise is a raise. :(
And we can use fabric.  We still have a lot of floral fabric so if you have a stash that is solids or a print
other than floral, please let me know!!  The HAE crew will put it to good  use.  The ladies do amazing things
with the floral, but other prints are a nice break in action.

I am a really good shopper if someone is interested in donating fabric gift cards or $ for fabric purchase.
My crew sends me $ for shipping only and then I mail them a box stuffed full of fabric.  If I haven't told
you this before, I CAN pack a box!!!!  Just ask Maryellen haha.

From a mom-I don't know which ship she was on.  And how cool is this, that she got to see our unique mission
in action!!!!
Hey,

My family and I recently went on a Tiger Cruise with my son. Of course we slept in the birthing in the racks just
like the sailors. Your beautiful pillow cases were such a sweet touch and I was so happy y'all do this. I'm sure it's
like a touch of home for the sailors. God bless y'all on this mission that you have taken up.

Thank you,  Janetta T

I updated the numbers as I forgot to add in 1 group!!!  Yikes!

I  wrote an update yesterday.  If you didn't get it by email, let me know.

Oh my!!!  Over a month has gone by again.  I just don't know where this year is going already.

Anyway, I just posted some new numbers.  We finished up an AF unit today.  More groups in the wings.  As always, if you have pillowcases finished please let me know.

Hello and HAPPY New Year!!!  2017- can you believe it???

I still am puzzling over where 2016 went.  I just posted the final numbers for 2016.

And now we start anew in 2017.  I have some groups for the end of the month.  If your loved one or you know someone deployed, please let me know.

We took a nice break after working hard on those 3 ships, we mailed to 13 K9 units in December and then broke for Christmas.

AND it's time to get back to the job of bringing comfort from home to our deployed troops.

Comment by Mommamac MM(CVN77) on December 6, 2016 at 10:43am
HI Sue, I know I have not been seeing for awhile but I would love to start seeing again. Our sons ship is getting ready to deploy soon and I know I will need something to do to help keep my mind from going crazy.
