It really has been a quiet week since Joey left. He made it to Seattle yesterday and my boys went to a bar to watch the Redskins-Seahawks game in their Redskins jersies. Unfirtunately the game didn't end the way they wanted, but at least they arrived safely!

Hey Cori! I heard it's pretty cold where you are. I've put hand warmer packs in the box I'm getting together for you. It's been slow going filling it as I worked every day last week and didn't get to the store. Hopefully this week will be better. This nasty respiratory flu has hit our area hard. Lots of people coming into the ER. The other area hospitals have been on Code yellow. We are seeing a lot of people with Community Acquired Pneumonia because of the flu. Really yucky.

I hope you're doing well. We talk about you all the time! Zoey and Cole especially. We miss you!

Joanne - I'm on the sub site some, but I haven't really connected with it either.  Joey is on the Louisiana in Bangor, WA.  I just got a text a few hours ago and the boys are in Idaho.

Joanne - I know what you mean about not seeing your son much even though he was "home". Joey did alot of catching up with his friends.

What sub is Jason on? From what i'm reading, I doubt we will have much opportunity to email Joey as he is on a boomer and they don't surface much.

Prayers that all of our sailors make it to their destinations safe and sound.

Last I heard from Joey, he was in Tennessee. I get a text whenever they get into a new state.

Anna, does Zak know if he will be in Goose Creek or Ballston Spa for prototype?

Yes... I see lots of us have had to say "bye for now" - lots of our guys-gals are headed back to work. Daniel is stationed at Camp LeJeune. Takes us about 6 1/2 - 7 hours to drive it.
Still waiting to hear about Zak (SC) and his prototype training - says last he heard it would likely be a few weeks yet b4 they class up. Jake remains in MS on base.
It's always a blessing to have our adult kids home - always.

Anna- lots of sad momma's tonight. Where is Daniel going? Stateside is good.

Did you have a nice Christmas?

Comment by Anna V on January 2, 2013 at 6:51pm
Hi moms... Yah, Daniel left today too... :-( at least he's going to be stateside for now. Better than Afghanistan.

Happy New Year!

Linda- I totally understand. It doesn't get any easier you're right. I hope Joey made it back ok.

Joanne- I know Jason left today right? Are you doing ok?

Happy New Year's to all of you!

Well, I knew this day would come but it didn't make it any easier. Joey left this morning with his brother to drive to Washington:( They are going to go south and then across the country. Joey plans on staying tonight with one of the guys he went to Power School with in Goose Creek, SC.

I'm back to work tomorrow and I'm glad this is going to be a short week:)
