Joanne I'm so sorry. Please give my condolences to Kevin. Was Kevin's dad in the military?
Blessings to you and your family Joanne as this holiday season will be tough.
Joanne, I am sorry to hear that she isn't doing well today. I know you both must be exhausted. Emotionally as well as physically.
Homemade chicken soup has to be smoothing for Mary. I hope her night is restful- your's as well.
Not sure I've caught up on house stuff since we got back from NC but I def need to catch up on here!
Joanne- how did he get a photo? Paul said it was pretty bad but he didn't go into details. No way would I want to experience something like that.
Ok Elaine- totally senior moment- and lots of wine- and exhaustion!!! Of COURSE I remember you!!! So you are now in my neck of the woods- I remember you talking about being with your mom. Yep my brain is moving slowly! I can't wait to see you again! How is your mom doing?
lori-You must be having a senior moment, and at your age!!!! We met at the Hotel Del for lunch and on the pier the morning of homecoming in May. I will forgive you this time, I know you have been busy with classes and such, LOL. My husband was with the guys, and Cori, at the place where they met for lunch. I was wearing the Navy sweatshirt at homecoming. Go back and look at the pictures. When we meet again, I know you will remember. Luv ya, and hope you are enjoying your time with your family.
I hope everyone gets to their destination safely for the holiday. Happy Thankgiving to all the Maryland Moms!
Joey's 9:30 pm flight is delayed until 11:50 pm. I'm waiting impatiently for him to get home!
We're in NC and running after a 2 year old takes a lot of time! Weather is nice here and it will just be the 4 of us plus Evie for Thanksgiving. I haven't been to the store yet- kind of dreading that!
Elaine- congrats to your son! Wonderful news! I like the "pesky officer!" My son became a PO3 last year and I wished I thought of that! Maybe I could still call him that!
I saw you on the Vinson site. Is your sailor on the Vinson? I didn't know that- my son is on there. That's pretty cool if he is! We can do a virtual cry on each others shoulders when the ship goes out!
Joanne- what's happening with Jason now? Was he able to leave Seattle?
Betsy- how lovely to have your daughters with you for the holiday!
To all you wonderful ladies- Happy Thanksgiving! Let's look at a get together after the holidays. Blessings to all.
Anna-thanks for the Texas inflection, LOL. I will miss the warmer weather they are having down there, that is for sure.
Just wanted to brag, a little. My sailor passed the September exam. He is now a PO3. I call him my "Pesky" Officer, hahaha. His dad and I are so very proud of him.
My mom's house will be full of people tomorrow. We are expecting 16 for the big feed at about 4 p.m.
I will be ready to meet all my new Maryland Mom friends whenever a date is set. It is a busy time of year but whenever is fine with me.
Happy Thanksgiving to each and every one of you and your sailors and your families. Enjoy the day.
