I am so glad you will be there Joanne! I can meet any time. Let me know what everyone is thinking and will work best.
It wouldn't be the same without you Joanne. I hope things will work out so you can go.
Can you double baggie his half way bag besides sealing it with duct tape so it will hold better? As to cards- making them would be better. So much nicer than a store bought one anyway. And it will be good therapy for you too!
Joanne thanks for asking about my math in light of all you've got going. I'm learning. Slowly but I'm learning. I finally got a 97% on a test I did today! After having done a Sociology test and got a 100% I felt like today was a good day! I had failed this same math test [ anything under an 80% is not a pass] with a 76% earlier so I was very pleased to be done with it.
I can't wait to see my daughter and granddaughter!
Ok then PF Chang's it is on the 27th! What time should we do?
Linda- I'm sure your son is looking forward to having all this behind him. Will he know right of way how he did on the test?
Betsy- I guess "mid term" will be Thanksgiving break. We are going to NC to be with our daughter, SIL and their 2 year old who I haven't seen since this past spring. They just moved into a house so we are going to help them with all the projects they have. My husband is going to help put in a dishwasher and ceiling fan and the many other "projects" our daughter has on her list! I can't wait to see them. This will be the first Thanksgiving we won't be home. I told my mom today and she was sad but understood. So it will be just my brother and her this year. Paul put in his leave slip for Christmas [ he gets 2 weeks!]- I'm praying they accept it. He would be home for his birthday as well as Christmas then. He hasn't been home since last Christmas.
I'm good with PF Changs too. Linda, I can pick you up. I will call you next week.
Good luck to your son. I'll be praying for him on Wed.
Lori, Do you get a mid term break? I hope so, it sounds like you will need one. ((hugs))
Welcome home Joanne. It sounds like you had a great time.
PF Changs is good for me. I am about 5 min from Betsy.
I talked to my son last night and he is getting close to finishing nuke school. He takes his 100% test on Wed - this is his last written test before his oral boards. He should know where he will be stationed in a few weeks...
Joanne you must be back recuperating from your journey. So glad you had a wonderful time. I know that what you are now facing is Kevin's leaving : (
The last time we met was in Columbia Mall at PF Chang's for lunch. Not sure where you are Linda but it worked for Betsy. I can't remember how far it was for Joanne. It's a half hour from me. I hope we can make this work!
I have had my nose stuck in school work doing papers and studying for exams. Math takes the rest of my time up! I am looking forward to getting together with you ladies. Joanne I REALLY hope you can make it.
Where are the other Maryland mom's?
Linda, we could coordinate carpooling, if you would like. I live in Harvest Farms, off Ridge Road. I'll pm you my phone number.
Where are we going ladies? We should plan soon.
Hi everyone,
I haven't been here lately as work has been very busy. Oct. 27 works for me - looking forward to it!
Joanne, I'm so happy to see you on here. It sounds like you had some great adventures and will have some awesome memories. I can't wait to hear about them. Prayers for a safe flight back.
Oh Betsy that is just the best news I've heard today! It must feel like Christmas to him! Shame on those sailors for telling the "newbies" that. I know this must have put a smile on your face knowing that none were lost. Thanks for posting this as it really made me smile!
