Hey all - on the Japan site a new Mom visited . Her son is being sent to the USS Guardian. I shared with her about this site and hopefully she will visit here too. I know there are some other Moms with sailors on the Guardian - how she visits

Thank you - actaully looked at some magazines today - wedding dresses. OMG - some look like they should be Hollywood theme dresses. Not wedding dressings. But the planning is just in the beginning stage here.

Donna - the hands on phase is tasking and just frustrating at times. But somehow they get through it - it just us Moms who do the worrying. Keep us posted on how he does :)

Not going to stay on long - still under a flood warning. Weather here has been bad. Havea good weekend - hugs.

Will share your message of congrats. As soon as I know any other details and what the ring looks like on her finger - I'll be blabbing. Oh my hubby told her - if she said yes to Nic - there were no returns. Inotherwords - she is stuck with him !

Have to share some news.
Oldest son and his GF are at members night of teh Science adn Indrustry Musuem in Chicago. There he surprised her and asked her to marry him. They called the moment after she said yes. My son acted like he lost something and was searching through his backpack. She is asking him to hurry so as not to be late to one event. AS she turns teh second time to ask him to hurry - he is holding out the ring box and asking: Will you? She - will crying over the phone is telling me how surprised - how beuatiful and how perfect it fits. And my son is in the background yellling ; WE need to hurry come on. Hope teh wedding is calmer. Just had to share :)

Good Morning :)
Another steam bath outside today. Even to hot for the cicadas to sing.

Hope all had a good fourth - and was happy to receive a message from my son. Finally he sounded happier - he is able to attend a class for the new position he is taking on the ship. Then he hope to be back in time for the inspection and leave for Fall Tour. Now this sounds strange to me - Fall Tour - now! It is still summer here. I thought to where he is - Japan. But I guess i will never learn the Navy's way of thinking. So it is now the season of Fall for the Navy . Must be why all teh stores are putting stuff out for Halloween.

Need to get all - havea good day

Good Morning all
Wishing all a Happy 4th of July

Yep - there is my sweetie and he hates that uniform.
Ricky is so good at getting these real to life photos. I also like the one -where Ricky got the shot of the CO or was that the old XO coming up the gang plank. The guy is pointing at Ricky and saying something. Ricky titled that picture: " I'm in Trouble".
Guess he was to have put that camera down. But Alex says you can't get the camera away from Ricky. Its' glued to him.

You have to proud Gilda - he is an awesome photographer :)

HI
PIR is awesome - have camera ready adn bring a BOX of kleenex. Those small pocket packets are not enough.

What Phyllis shared is very close to what teh experience of my MN. Agree - encourage your sailor to study and even though it is at your own pace - try hard to get it done. Time after the A School adn C Schools does vary. Just try to be ready and help out where you can for your sailor.
Sorry this is short. but long day here - nephew came through his surgery ok, but needed to stay over night at the hospital. Will know more tomorrow and I'll share details soon - you know how I love to share good gossip. And I'll try to remember more about the discussion. Swet Dreams all
