Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Yes, JeryLynne - our guys are good looking and making faces at Ricky is one of their past times. I think Alex once stated - Ricky sleeps with that camera.

Oh - still having trouble seeing - so I posted this picture ON the IL Mom's site too.
That's ok - our kids look great - lets just show them off :) Wish we goucl Ricky in some. But my son sttated - trying to get the camera away from Ricky is hard. He is loke a protecting mother lion to his cameras.

Have to go and look at the photo again - I want to see Sean. Yes, agree - I think all of the crew are making faces at Ricky. He is getting them real to life and it's funny.

I cal this phot o- Sleeping Sweetie. My son would fall asleep like this in his crib. Place him down for a nap or bedtime - give him some toys - check on him in few minutes - there he be - asleep sitting up. Oh sweet memtories :)

Have to share this photo. It was taken by Ricky Flores - Gilda's son. He is the official photographer of the ship. And he does fantastic photos. I am so hoping Ricky will become a professional photographer for the Navy. Thanks Glida - you have to be so porud. Oh - JeryiLynn - check out teh ship on FB - Ricky really did a great job of photos - your son is in many :)

Have to make this short - I broke my glasses this morning - using my reserves and trying to type and read - not so good. Sorry for misstakes. Havea good day all

Hi All :)
My sailor is back on his base. He had a good time home and oh did I collect hugs. Funny - he did too :) .Was able to receive a pass for hubby and I to sit with him at teh gate as he waiting to leave - that was special Now trying to get back to a normal routine, but finding it somewhat difficult. so now eating an entire bag of Orea Doulbe Stuff Cookies with milk. Helps alittle with that " Missing My Sailor Blues " But not my hips. Oh well.

Need to get off - second stage of thunderstorm about to pass through.

This is short - son still needs a nap in the afternoon. And I will tiptoe and open the door to see him sleep. Just like when he was small - hugging his pillow as he sleeps. Oh - memories :) And tonight - both sons are home so family time.
