That would be great, because I've never been and hopefully will be able to visit a few times while he's there.

Thank you Trina,  That is so cool, I love the picture! Was that the first time you were out there to visit?

Hi Everyone, hope all is well. Snowed in right now and can't go anywhere since the governor has declared a state of emergency. Getting nervous about weather for next weeks PIR, hopefully it will be nice out.

Does anyone know if the Navy requires a certain watch for them to wear. I was thinking about getting one for my son but don't want to get the wrong kind.

Hi Everyone, hope all is well. I have a few questions, after they graduate  and go to their A school, do they need some civilian clothes also for the weekends and such. Also is the room their in just have a bed and place to put their clothes or is it like a dorm room with a tv, mini fridge, desk etc.

Hi everyone! My son is in Bahrain now. He has been there for two weeks now. When he graduated on 2/08/13, he stayed in Chicago 8 weeks, started his schooling and then went to San Diego. He left for Bahrain on 12/7/13. I have talked to him a couple of times. He said its a lot the first 2 weeks or more. Very tired! He will be there for six months and then back to San Diego. So far that's what he knows.

oh and was told yesterday, five times, that he'll end up in Bahrain.

Hi, I'm confused to, though my son seems to be going with the flow.  He PIR'd on 12/6, is still in GL started ATT today, seems as though they push the MN through or is it just timing, his roomates have been there for over 2 months on "hold" he told me it was based on rate.  Originally they told him ATT was 47 days, now he's telling me 30 days then off to SD.....

I guess I'll just have to wait and see where he's going to go after A school. I guess no matter where he's stationed he'll be able to come home on leave for a visit, I hope. At least if I could see him every so often it might not seem as bad.
