FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Oh Donna, thank you for sharing - yes in our thoughts and I will light a candle too.
JeriLynne - no words or pictures. But Alex did say he knows some pictures were taken.
When my son gets home - hopefully he will have his camera and maybe I can get him to put some photos on.

Now I have to share :
I learned I cannot read. I read my son's flight times wrong.
In about 6 hours I will be hugging. him !!!!!!!!
Doing the flight of teh Bumble Bee through the house - about done - so I can bake that German Ghocolate Cake. Will chat later and share what's happpening

Glad to hear from you. I didn't hear or receive any emials from my sailor. His last email was 2 weeks ago and he said he was busy studying too. Wonder what? plus - some inpsection again to get ready for. I think that is all that ship does - inspections. Thank for the wish -and I too hope your Mother's Day was good. Share in the morning - I am bone tired the - weekend caught up to me and a nice hot bath is calling me Sweet Dreams TLynn

It is a lovely sunny day here - but cool. And finaly his room is all done :) Now waiting for that hug.

Janiel so happy to know you have heard from him :0 Thank you for sharing. And I heard that many Mom received phone calls and being surprised with flowers - how sweet. I did get to try out my new Shark Steam cleaner and it works great!

To the Moms - Happy Mother's Day
I am covered in paint. I just took a minute to chat. Painting my sailor's room and I look lovely in the soft Sea Glass Green. At least I can say - I really put myself into my work :)

Plus tehe Luandry Fairy left me 4 loads to finsih and my oldest pruchased the gift I wanted - that steam cleaning Shark !!!! So I can't wait to play with it.

Hope all receive calls / messages from you sailors. ( me too )

I had some fears that I might not. But I had several other Moms email the Admins and Ning too. I found out I am not teh only on having problems with delay messages fo logging on. Ning is working with Comcast. Comcast is the one having issues. And I am a Comcast customer. Have to share. Comcast is awesome, but when they have a problem - it is always major. But when they work on it - Comcast has fixed it. Hope they can this time too.

I was finally able to enter my pass word adn N4ms said OK. Stil not receiving any notices of activity on the sites. But maybe a few bugs are still in the system

Sorry I did not get back to you. I have been having computer problems and with receiving messages from teh N4Ms sites. SoI have to contact Ning for help. But when you log onto your personal page - at the top is a line of sites you can go to for hlep; Main, Invite, etc. Try clicking on forums and leave a messge in the advice area. Replys get back fast. Maybe you can find an answer. Good luck.
