So that doesn't mean that they are going other places to be with other rates? My sailor said something about them having opportunities to "forward deploy" and go do missions with Marines and Seals and SWCC and things like that? But then he told me the other day that they don't do that as much anymore? Do you know anything about that?
What can you tell me about forward deploying?
I don't know too much but my son is in San Diego where he went to MN school. I know it was for a few months but not sure exactly how long. He hasn't deployed yet so I can't help you there.
What can y'all tell me about being a MN? Where is the training and how long for? How long for deployment? My bf just DOR'ed from SWCC yesterday and is now talking about becoming a MN. I was just starting to understand the SWCC world, and now I may be jumping into the MN world instead. Any info?
Congratulations to both of you, Cindylaine! SO happy for you!!!
My son graduated A school Friday. He is officially a mine man!!
Dear Friends
AS of today - my sailor has crossed rated. He is a Riverine now.
I will be leaving this site and moving on to where I can receive answers to questions. Thank you for all the support and gossip :) Wish all a wonderful time with your sailors - that you and your sailors will always have fair winds and calm seas.
Take care Blessing T-Lynn
Oh how wonderful Donna ! I hope weather - your time together - ALL goes perfect.
I like your Book Character Days . So who are you going to be ?
Heard from sailor this morning - 2AM ! It was afternoon for him and he was doing laundry - that means time to call mommy. He is relaxing and getting all details finished. AS soon as he knows when he gets to come home he will let me know. So I am back to riding that Navy Mom roller coaster of "WHEN do you get leave?"
take care hugs
