Does anyone know any details about the bras they issue at bootcamp? My daughter is planning to head to MEPS this summer, and oddly, it is one of her higher concerns. She is, ahem, difficult to fit (large-breasted, narrow torso) so needs a LOT of support. Anything short of underwire or a serious sports bra or underwire and she's in pain doing anything more than a relaxed walk. Do they have bras that actually give the girls good support, or are they stuck with some kind of droopy leisure bra?
Yes, Anna - such tragic news today. Thoughts and prayers for those still missing in TX and the families of the fallen. Thank goodness the Thunderbird pilot was able to eject and is safe. Have a wonderful time catching up with your friends!
Blondie - honestly, how do you do all that you do. You must have super powers, not limited to but including patience! Glad you're standing strong and will take days off when you can.
spyder, would love to meet up next time you're in town or we're in AZ. Would be great to meet you! Don't think you're gonna get any rain while here unless you stand under the Bellagio fountain! Your odds are definitely better banking on jackpots -- good luck!!!
Safe travels Anna and spyder!
We all need to send up prayers to the family of our lost Blue Angel pilot. So sad. I just saw the Blues when we were in Pensacola. They cancelled their practice but we could see all the planes and Fat Albert parked when we climbed the lighthouse right across the road from the flight line. And we watched a movie at the museum about the pilots and their training. Just unbelievable.
On another note, did you hear that an Air Force Thunderbird also crashed but the pilot ejected and parachuted to safety. There are also 6 soldiers missing from Ft Hood in Texas caused by their vehicle overturning in flooded waters. Our military is hurting all over.
on a lighter note:
JayDee,
That's so funny!!! I hope you whacked him sufficiently!!!
Oleander,
Such good news from your daughter!! Sorry she has to delay her leave, but it is for a good reason. I'm glad it sounds like she is liking the ship life!! Hope they approve her new leave dates.
We are in GA now, almost to Augusta where we lived for 11 years. I'm meeting up with some friends at a favorite mexican restaurant!! Looking forward to catching up with some friends!! It is so hot and muggy 91 today!!
bbcregular,
I will update you with a definite date of when we'll get to Boone and where we will be staying!!! Looking forward to seeing you!!!
spyder,
Hope you get your rain, and some cooler temps!! You too Oleander!!!
Hysterical JayDee -- and a great visual!
spyder013 - how long will you be in Vegas?
