OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi Marianne. Welcome. We take Utahans at heart here too. Your daughter is a mechanic then? My son is a mechanic, but he's a construction mechanic in the Seabees.

In that case, how about October 10th?

I have the 25th off because of PT conferences the day before. Any chance the rest of you could make it on a Friday? Or during UEA?

Agreed. I'd love to meet you all some Saturday for lunch in Provo, if you all could make it.

Catherine ... welcome. There really are a few Navy moms and wives here in the mountain west. I've been trying to get my daughter-in-law to come visit this place too, but so far, she hasn't had time.

With no naval bases on the Great Salt Lake, this really isn't a state for a lot of Navy involvement. Be proud of your service and of your family's service. And remind your hubby that the Sec of the NAVY signs his checks too. ;)

Welcome to the group. I have two bumper stickers. One is "my son defends your freedom: NAVY MOM" and the other says "I love my Seabee." So if you see those, honk and wave. But if you're clear up in Brigham City . . . well, hope we get to meet sometime anyway.

I have a pair of bumper stickers . . . one with NAVY Mom, my son defends your freedom, and one with I love my SEABEE.

I got them at cafe press online
