Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

You would need Mirin, which is sweet rice wine vinegar, and things like Katsu sauce, a good soy sauce, fresh ginger and garlic.  They use a lot of white onions, green onions, and depending on what you like in your noodles, maybe bamboo shoots and bok choy (Chinese cabbage).  Also p[ink and/or red pickled ginger for a garnish. And tofu if you like it.

anti m do you know or have the names of some good souces or flavors for japaness cooking that i can get in the markests were i live there are a lot of orental markets.

hi anti m i  read that you lived in japan i lived in yokohama for 4 years from 1960 to 1964 do you remember the food and what food was your favorett.

thank you kelleypen and anti m for the info i have been praying for 5 north western states for some years utah being one of them its just heart worming to speak to someone from those states and it is my desire to visit one of these days but until them i will keep you in my prayers again thanks for replying. love kelly

I've seen a few sailors on the Air Force Base, but they may be recruiters.  I am in Ogden, which has some interesting history.

There are lots of things to see here in Utah, including five national parks plus a few national monuments. Plus Salt Lake City is awesome. However, there's no Navy base anywhere near here.  We're landlocked.   The few Navy jobs that are in Utah are recruiters.   Still, if you do get out this way, I'd be happy to visit with you.
