Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome MaryEllen. I remember my son leaving like it was yesterday. They live for mail in BC so hope you are up to writing. A LOT.

Hi Durrich hope your Thanksgiving was great how is everything coming along ... Florida is wonderful sunsets and beautiful mornings to wake up to looking at the lake and all the different animals that visit daily I'm in my glory

Welcome MaryEllen that's how pretty much it goes my son is already in over 2 years and I remember saying Wow when is the PIR going to get here it goes fast enjoy the ride look back some of our pages here you'll get some ideas what the next few weeks ahead will be like for you get ready to write lots of encouraging letters to him and make sure your cell phone is close to you at all times lol I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your son and family

Hi Everyone,  I am new to this group.  My son leaves for bootcamp this coming Wednesday.  It is unreal how quickly time has gone by.   Seems like just yesterday I was saying we still had 10 weeks!

Terrific Lynda so happy for you that your Thanksgiving was complete Congrats to Aaron and Happy Bday to Ben..We had a wonderful Thanksgiving as well with my sister and her sons family spending it with Us loving Florida
