DJ has arrived in GL for BC. I got the phone call about 10:30 tonite. It sounded scripted but he did sound great. No nervousness that I could tell in his voice. So very proud of him as well as all of the other recruits. I am very thankful to have your  children as well as my own to choose to serve our country and protect our freedom as it is today. Thank you!!

dawn - Thank you so much for the good wishes for Dan as well as the link.  I started watching but I'll wait until I get home from work and watch with my daughter.  Thank you again.  I'd be lost without all of you.

Thanks Dawn for the link ... I did watch it. Yes very informative. DJ swore in this morning and he is waiting at the airport now his flight leaves at 4:35 ish. I am doing ok so far I am sure I will lose it after I talk with him when he arrives. I am soooo very proud of him and I am sure he will do just fine. He has been waiting for this.

oh believe me you don't know how grateful I am that either I found this group or that you found me!!  I would be lost.  I'm going to get my daughter Kathleen to check it out too so she can feel a little better.  Dan is her soulmate and she's kind of at loose ends.  She's busy with school and student teaching but he was the one who was always there for her.  My other son is 6 years older than her and not as much patience.

Well, Dan left last night for Great Lakes.  His sister was crying sooo bad.  He called at 1:10am to say he arrived safely.  I guess now we wait for the boy in the box.  It's very hard isn't it?  I never expected it to be as difficult as it is.

@Dawn Well tonite he went to his Dads so ... I will enjoy him when I pick him up from the hotel tomorrow nite. I will be praying for her and for all of the others getting ready to start BC.

Thank you Dawn ... DJ is still home tonite because at MEPS they didnt get him a plane ticket for tomorrow. He was orginally supposed to leave 16th Feb. Then it was changed to the 14 sooo I guess they never changed the ticket. I feel lucky to still have him for a day or 2 more but I was preparing myself and now I need to do it all over again. Welcome to the emotional roller coaster.
