Thanks for all the responses! I don't have anyone who really understands the emotions of these last 2 months before Ashley leaves. Proud beyond words but scared. I was a single mom for years and have always had my girls with me. My youngest went off to Rowan in September and I still had Alicia and Ashley home. Alicia and I have decided that we should put a jar on the tv cabinet and put a dollar in every time we watch the same movie. We agree we will have enough money to fly anywhere to see Ash quickly! I live 15 minutes outside Atlantic City. Glad to have some Real Moms of New Jersey here!!!!  We all have amazing kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Hi everyone.. I'm Nita. My son RJ  is a  recruiter in Newton but I think he travels to  NYC sometimes. He's been in since April 2006.. He actually went active in August  2006 when he left for boot camp.. I have 2 other  children.. a daughter Shanna  who's 27 and a younger son Tyler who is 16. I also have 2 grandsons who are 8 and 19 mos old.

I like to do crafts, sew knits and crochet. I belong to alot  of groups on here, mostly dealing with crafts.

I enjoy being on this site with you all.  I understand how you feel about being without  your loved ones

Hello New Moms that are from South Jersey...What towns?  I'm in Mount Laurel, living in Larchmont and I work in Mount Holly at Miller Ford.  I haven't been here to this site for a while since I am involved in a private Navy Mom Group and active with the Jersey Blue Star Mother Chapter.

Let me introduce myself.

I am the PNM of HM3(FMF) Joshua (32)  He is a currently assigned to the Portsmouth (VA) Naval Hospital working in the Labor and Delivery Department.  Before coming back to the US this year my Corpsman was assigned to the 3rd Marines in Okinawa Japan. He had his PIR in June 2007,  went to A School in Great Lakes and FMBT (Field Medical Battalion Training) at Camp LeJeune.  He was in Japan for 18 months and then spent 9 months in Afghanistan with the 1/6 ETT. (Embedded Training Team) working and helping train the Afghan National Army (ANA). It was the longest 9 months of my life.  But now he's back in the US and is planning on re-enlisting for 3 more years next month!

I also have a 35 year old daughter Rebecca, who lives in Wilmington DE with her husband Joshua and our precious granddaughter Ella who will be One on February 22nd.

You have come to the right place for unconditional support and love. We all 'get it'... If you are on Facebook, look me up as Beth Sobelman Hofstein
