For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

In the event of an emergency within the sailor’s family, where you feel the sailor must be notified and considered for Emergency Leave, you must notify the American Red Cross through the national headquarters in Washington, DC (1-877-272-7337) or via their website www.redcross.org.

He was enjoying a charleston with a few friends and their families. It makes it easier to know that he is happy with his decision to serve and can't wait to get out in the fleet. I really needed that call.

Comment by Trix2short on July 7, 2013 at 10:26am: My son just left headed back to GC, he starts power school in the morning. It was so hard to watch him leave but we enjoyed having him home for a few days. If I can just hold out for six weeks then we will be making a trip to GC for his 21st bday.

Comment by NAVY-em's_Mom on July 7, 2013 at 9:33am: Just took my son to the airport to go back to GC. Only 3 weeks and 5 days until A school graduation and he's home again. He really likes the Navy, and it's been a good fit for him. It was so great to have him home. Although, one of the first things he did was hook up with ALL his old friends and they had a D & D all nighter.

She seems to be doing well on the whole. She's the only girl in her class, so let me know if you know which class that might be...didn't get that detailed in the conversation, ugh.

Talked to my son this morning. He said hey mom you went to culinary school you aught to apply for a job here in the galley and you could be here while I go to school! What a novel idea. LOL I think not, to much like stalking my son. But an idea maybe elswear.

and 4 more coming tomorrow. Family and friends are beside themselves.
Crops ruined, no place for the horses to go and roads flooded out everywhere.
Our lake is a foot and a half higher than normal... thankful that my family is up on the hill.
