Dor--I think of you a lot and your boys! You are one strong mama! Love love love the story about the blood pressure cuff!!! I chuckled for quite a while after reading that one!

NavyMomLG - All I could think of was "oh crap." Of course, as per usual, I'm getting waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay ahead of myself--my son is still waiting to class up for PS. Should (HOPEFULLY) be at the end of May.

I'm headed up to GC Memorial Day weekend to spend time with my son. Could be the last chance we get to spend time together until PS grad...Can't wait to see him again!

I finally talked to my son after his move to BS last weekend.  He is enjoying it - spent the weekend in Manhattan.  He starts class today and is glad to be back at it.  He did say that he saw two of his Boot Camp/A School buddies that have been in BS for four months now and he said "Mom, they look awful.  Lost a lot of weight and have big bags under their eyes."  I think he has always been realistic about his training, and doesn't stress out, but it may still have been a bit of an eye-opener.

Oh wow Doreen, I hope they got to spend time with family too. That seems so sad to graduate and get shipped out to A-school the same day, we were warned that it could happen, and I was so glad to know my son didn't leave until Saturday morning.

Just so you know, getting a week and a half behind on Nuke Moms posts = really bad idea. Lol

My Sailor moved to BS last weekend, then hopped a plane the next day to come home for Easter and SURPRISE us! What a great visit it was. He starts Prototype on Monday.

Lamarmama, so glad to hear he passed. Prayers answered...

Ok, gotta keep catching up on the posts...

Mrbnq6- I visited my then boyfriend last year during MD weekend and he had Monday off (he was in A School then). He had to be back on base by midnight, I believe.

My son got a new roommate from GL graduation. I never heard of someone arriving on Friday instead of Saturday or Sunday. I hope he got to spend sometime with his family before he got on the plane.

Thanks MamaCindy! They are all good kids and super smart. I am glad they are on our side LOL.

Congratulations BlueRockSailorMom my son was home last week too and flew back on Easter right after power school graduation. We visited Goose Creek last Memorial Day when he was still in A school. You will love Charleston it is a beautiful city with a lot to do there. It was already pretty hot there that time of year.
