He's wanting to live with me Andi. That's why i'm kind of obligated to live close, which I don't mind, I really enjoy the beach:) He'll be done with Power school about the time I move, and he will have to live off base for proto he says, so it should work out pretty well, plus we'll probably be engaged, and him  living with me and helping plan stuff will be VERY conviniant, not to mention, I might be bringing out dog down, since he's little:)

Nicole I moved down this way in May after I finished school finally. But I didnt move to GC or Charleston. I moved a little bit north of there like 1 1/2 hours. He really "preferred" that I move up here and do something on my own. Plus when he comes to visit he is like 90 miles from base so when we go anywhere we don't have to worry about ppl watching us or running into anyone he knows. It's like a lot of weekend vacation's for him. But it is super nice because most of A-School I was 8 to 9 hours away from him now I'm less than 2. Makes for many more visits. And I am close enough to make a day trip

Awesome! I'm just hoping he has some sort of hold between power and proto, simply so he can help get me settled and get us settled, moving a bed  and all that by myself just doesn't seem too terribly fun. Not to mention my car is getting old, and I don't want it to break down alone, because I'm basic with cars, I know basic oil change, and thats it. And a 17 hour drive with that risk and stuff with me im not thrilled about.

Nicole, my son's an MM in power school graduating 10-4.  He said he's been hearing rumors lately that the grad hold could be as long as 10 months.  He stressed that it's only rumors, but he said he's hearing it quite often.

As far as the time between A-school and power, he graduated a-school on 4-1 and began power school on 4-28.  He was home for the first 10 days during that time, and I visited him in Charleston over Easter weekend (4-22 to 4-26) so he didn't have any classes or anything to be worrying about.  It was a great time to visit.

I'm hoping for 4/5 month wait, that would be very nice:) Haha, He wants me to move down when I graduate, and that would make the transition aloooot  easier.

Mary, you slay me! Your menfolk need to figure out that while

that particular piece of equipment does often rule their thoughts and decisions, it doesn't really contain brain cells.

William - Congratulations! I bet you are so proud of your son. Well done to him and the other grads.

Evi - what a hoot! If that's paradise, what is the opposite of paradise because I think that's what I want to shoot for. LOL
