For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Is there a hold after A school? What is the average hold time?

How long is Power School?

Is there a hold after Power School? How long?

When is T-TRACK? What is T-TRACK and how long does it last?

Is there a wait to get into Prototype? How long?

If he wants to stay in Charleston for Prototype, does he have that choice?

I laughed out loud - I guess anything seems like paradise compared to BC!

Comment by William in Nashua on August 12, 2011 at 9:44am: I got a call from my son at 8:20 he graduated A school class 1122T this morning and is a ET3 now. There were 16 graduates from his original class of 24 plus they picked up a 17th who fell back from another class.

Congratulations to all the new gradautes he said total was about 70 graduated this morning with class 1122.

Congratulations! My son did the same thing in July. My DIL has turned out to be an angel. I didn't know her well before the wedding and not being there for my son at the wedding hurt me deeply. But, time is healing that and they are very happy. My prayer will be that you are as lucky as I am!

He does, he begins classes monday. Some kids from our PIR just begin briefs monday, it depends on where their last name falls in the alphabet, thats how it was determind. They have thanksgiving stand down thursday friday saturday and sunday i believe. and christmas is around 14 days of stand down.:)

You also mentioned that they were going to be on lock down through the week end. What exactly does that mean? We shared the same PIR date. My son hasn't classed up yet. I am hoping he hears something today.
