Dor - I don't know how much icing he is doing to that ankle.  I lthink he suffers through it and doens't do much to help it.  I mean, I know it's a pain, but he has a truck and can go get ice packs, frozen peas, ANYTHING, and they have a freezer in their little fridge so he could have it right there on hand.  UGH, kids.  The physical therapist told him it is the worst type of sprain with torn ligaments.  Emily said she had the same thing and ended up finally having surgery that made her totally better, but the time frame on her recovery was about 4 months.  So if they end up saying he needs that, hopefully he coudl do it right after Power School.  I don't know if it could ever heal on it's own, and if he can't run I'm not sure if they would make some allowances for that, like maybe make him do 30 minutes on the bike or eliptical machine at a certain speed and distance, to make up for the running.  Just not sure.

Penny, as far as I know it can go either way, single room or room with a roommate.  My son got a roommate when he had to move after A school graduation in March. He was happy with his new roommate because it is one of the guys he's been with since bootcamp who is 25, farely quiet, but never leaves the room.  He's addicted to one of those dang video games, day and night.  Some guys got single rooms though.  I guess it just depends on what is available when they have to move.

My son who just graduated A-school this month said that they are moving him out of the barracks he is currently in and into another one.  Does anybody know if they typically remain with a roommate or if they are in single rooms for Power School? Any comments?

What a beautiful picture Connie.  So sweet!  I wish we lived where there were deer and wild life roaming.

For all you wives/military dependants.... I was just at Old Navy and they have a new deal for military.... "Military Mondays - We'll Drop and Give you Ten!" It's 10% off entire purchase every Monday for anyone with a military ID (dependents included)!

Sharon, when I was a young girl of about 8 my father found a little fawn caught in a fence and the momma was nowhere around.  So he took it home and we nursed it back to health, fed it with pop bottles and a nipple and goats milk.  We named her

Frisky and she romped in the fields with us, curled up and slept at the end of the bed with us girls and was our pet for quite some time.  Finally took it to the Gaylord animal (something) place where she was able to live out the rest of her life protected.  Such fond memories and this picture brought them all back.  Thanks!

Emily - so glad that Aaron could get home, in spite of the airline problems.

Cake Pop Machine - I heard it is really nothing more than making something like doughnut holes.  So if you imagine a cake doughnut then dipped in chocolate, that's what you would get.  Think the mixing with frosting and rolling would taste better ... but that's just my guess.

Sherri, Thanks, but I am not in the "wedding cake" biz!! This wedding cake was my first and my last!! I was ready to throw it out the window, it just wasn't doing what I wanted it to do and it was the night before the wedding. It isn't exactly the way that I wanted it, but it is what it is. I would be willing to do ckae pops for your daughter's wedding, just send me a message and I can give you a quote. They will be a big hit, they are the craze everywhere right now. I wish I knew about them last December, I would have done them instead of cupcakes. I also had to do a "Gluten-free" mini cake for our other son so he could have cake! That one was easy! lol

Connie, I love this picture!!! How cool! Kevin was driving the other day and a mom and a recently born fawn crossed the road in front of him, he slowed to watch. The fawn was still wobbly and fell in the ditch, the mom was ahead and turned around and came back until he could get up and out to get into the field. He said it was really cute. We live in a rural area, plenty of farm country and lots of wild life. I love watching the deer play, it always put a smile on my face as did this picture!
