For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Comment by Kat (MM Nuke) on May 22, 2011 at 5:31pm: hapsmolmr - to my recollection, from when my son got to Goose Creek back in November, they are just assigned a room, no input from the sailors. My son's first roommate was an ET and he is an MM. He had that roommate about 4 or 5 weeks, then that one graduated A school and moved out to a new room. My son was alone only for about a week and then got a new roommate from bootcamp who was also an MM. I think all they really do is room them with someone who is also in A school, then when they move rooms for Power School they are only with someone in Power School too. My son lucked out for Power School. His roommate is one of his buddies from bootcamp, so they started Power School together, although they are in different classes. Hope that helps.

My son had his first test and got a 3.6 -- although....he was disappointed -- what alien invaded my son's body??? lol

Comment by Maddie on May 22, 2011 at 4:05pm: I'd like to think that we, here, are made of a different thread, and are beyond any silly thing that people with nothing better to do put out there. Cesar Chavez's story is just another epic that makes us what we are: Americans. All of us, at different times and different circumstances, came from somewhere else. I never thought that our origins are what mattered when defining how American we are.

And if we can't get along in our little world, how can we expect our boys/men to do the same?

On a lighter note, today is the first day of the rest of our lives (we survived the rapture, after all!)---let's all make the best of it! Hooyah!
