Question about area hotels, how are the hotels north of the airport? I've read several very good reviews on tripadvisor. We're planning on going memorial Day weekend. Any help would be great:)

elizabeth-hope your son feels better soon from the flu :(  It doesn't matter how old our kids get, we always worry when they aren't feeling better.  Heck...who am I kidding??  I worry even if my sons aren't sick!  LOL  The pedialyte story is cute.  Should come in handy to at least balance out the electrolytes.

Sharon--I agree!  I was thinking today that our military all around the world should go on stirke at midnight!!  then what would congress do??  Hopefully, it will all work out...I'm praying it does!  This is just getting to the point where it's ridiculous!

Dor--I know!  don't want to lose my boy and future grandkids(hopefully a few years down the road, but still)...so I'll do what I can and go into it with a positive attitude..I know quite a few people who were married at 18, and 19 and been married for years..of course, know alot that didn't make it, but it's the same for the older ones too..so I just hope this is God's plan for them!

I am a bit upset right now. Diego was told he had until June to complete his watch hours and today he was told they have to be done by Monday!! He has all his study hours plus his watch hours to pull by Monday morning. Are they nuts??????

I wonder if the Pres and his people would consider not taking any pay days until our service members around the world get paid first!! What are these people thinking............oh wait, that is it,.............they aren't thinking!!!! Shame on them, every one of them! To not pay our service members is crazy, let's see................should they stop doing their jobs until they get paid? Yep, I think so...........get them out of the wars and bring them home. Let the Pres and his people go take their places and see how things get done! Grrrrrrrrrrr.....................

drewmom- You don't have anything to worry about with those Ballistic Missile subs. :) He won't be able to tell you much of anything (he can't even directly tell you the date he leaves), but you can be comforted by the fact that any enemy that comes close will be blown out of the water. :) Those things are top notch technology. Alan (my brother) even told stories of literally playing hide and go seek on patrol. The newest sub was out there somewhere and it was their goal to find them (I'm fairly sure there was a bet involved between the commanders). :)

Boo Hoo, My son just called and he has been sick all day.  THe stomach virus type.  Funny thing is last weekend I called him and he said he was is line at Walmart. I asked him what he was buying.  He said he was buying a few things and pedialyte.  I asked him why he was buying pedialyte?  I told him it was made for sick babies.  He said it was rediculously cheap and it was just like a sports drink.  I just laughed at him.  So a few minutes ago when he called I asked him what he was drinking to make sure he stayed hydrated and he said pedialyte!  I told him he was a genius to have bought that stuff so cheap!!!
