For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

His room was close to the Mini Nex and he got pretty good reception from his room (faced the right way towards a cell tower) if he ventured too far into his room we might lose conection but ususaly just static, the only dropped calls he had were in a very bad storms or when he entered the mini nex for ice cream, we always lost those calls but he always called back.

It makes me feel so included, because I know it is exactly the types of things my son has done to me. He has verizon and we have lost a couple calls, but all and all not too bad. Please note, if your sailor wants the military discount they need to take a LES with them. At least, that is what my son was told he needed to do even though he was in uniform at the time. He said he would bring it in later rather than fax it to them which is what was recommended. He was smart enough to know that there is way too much personal info on an LES to just fax it to a store like that.

LOL I can image that would be a pain to have to get back into uniform to go outside to talk on the phone.

If we had bad reception he could not just step outside because he would then have to get in full uniform. By the way I just loved all their rules...had to make me snicker...my petty little rules must have seemed like nothing to theirs. I wanted him to eat at a table and not walk around the house with his food creating crumbs etc. All I ever heard was how my rules were so controlling. That I cared so much about cleanliness....yada yada yada :)
