Got it to work on my phone!!!! Spence didn't make it out of ny after all - after leaving them sit on the plane for over an hour to get off the plane and then cancelled it. So now he is rebooked for 8a tomorrow.

Regarding the ballston spa question - no one is being sent to ny so there is no way to determine if you will go or not. Too many probs going on up there. But if they ever let anyone go there again it is a matter of requesting it.

I hope everyone elses kids are getting home. I saw some others had their flights cancelled as well.

Hi Everyone, Just got a call that my nuke and his 2 friends are in Tennessee. They got to leave Goose Creek early and are headed for home in Chicago. YIPPEEEEEEEEEEE!! They should be here 1-2 AM.

Trina - The snow has stopped in Chicago and flights out of O'Hare are running 45 min behind schedule.

Ok - here is where things stand right now - Spencer's 6:40p flight got cancelled out of Albany. But he was already on standby for a 4:45p leaving. He got on that one!!!!!! So he is on the plane, flying out of NY to Chicago!!!! So we will see what happens then.

Unfortunately his friend/roommate had his flight cancelled, and can't get out until tomorrow morning - he is very upset.

So, as of right now, Spence is on his way to Chicago. I would like to keep everyone updated, but am leaving to go to Mall of America, and will be down there most of the night. And my phone does not allow me to sign into this site to be able to respond to posts. So if you want an update, shoot me your email address and then I can send emails out to let you know where things stand. I also have a blackberry, so can do instant messaging, but would have to set that up, so email might work easier. So if you want updates, you can wait until some time later tonight, or put your email addy in a response.

Talk later!!!

More snow here in Utah. This storm is from the northwest and COLD. Anyone who lives with snowy winters knows there's a difference between warm snow storms and cold snow storms, LOL.

Jeremy will be home for Christmas, but likely on Monday. From what I gather, he couldn't get a flight out today or this weekend.

he just sent me a link to the local station - crap if he makes it out of there it will be a miracle! if this keeps going like they are saying, it will be right when he is supposed to leave that the heaviest is going to be on the ground and still going.

Okay - Spence is in NY - he is saying they are supposed to get slammed with snow tomorrow. Anyone have a sailor leaving there tomorrow? Any word on what you are hearing? I am doing a search for tv stations there to get a better idea - they don't have cable at their house so no tv.
Comment by Trina (Spencer's Mom) on December 18, 2008 at 10:07pm
Lynn - that is when Spence is getting home. 11:28p. Don't know if he is wearing his uniform or not. The kids and I are excited.

That's a joke right? I don't know you, so just wondering....

I got the same error. But then if you look further down, like Jeanne said, it does give you the option to continue. You can continue and it doesn't blow up your computer or anything! LOL!!!!
