Lynn - that is when Spence is getting home. 11:28p. Don't know if he is wearing his uniform or not. The kids and I are excited.

That's a joke right? I don't know you, so just wondering....

I got the same error. But then if you look further down, like Jeanne said, it does give you the option to continue. You can continue and it doesn't blow up your computer or anything! LOL!!!!

Hey all - I think there is some confusion! LOL!!! Cheryl is the one going to DisneyWorld with her son!!! Although I wouldn't mind being in Florida, but it isn't me.

But Spence is coming home Friday night.....

And I should clarify - I don't think they haven't been training properly - these are our nukes out there - I just have heard the staff up there hasn't/wasn't doing things the way they are supposed to, and things finally all came together at once. I believe there is more to it than that, obviously, but it isn't the first time this has happened up there either.

Good joke!!

To bad they can't actually get people up there that can train properly - and this is just what I have heard throughout the past couple weeks. Amongst other things. It seems things have been going wrong up there for a while, and everything finally came to a head in October is what I am gathering.

It is the pits, but Spence will be here Friday for xmas break!!!!

Generally speaking, yes, you're relieveing the person who has the billet you're moving into. There generally is an overlap when the outgoing and the incoming sailor are both onboard, this is for indoc, training, and such. Somtimes a billet will go short waiting for the new guy, but nuke systems are pretty critical, I wouldn't think that would happen. What is possible (just possible, not certain) is that the sailor waiting to move on with his orders is now extended, waiting for his relief. If it gets too far back-logged, that's when orders started gettin gc ancelled. Very much a domino effect and the Navy hates that.

Too bad the Navy cann't run out to Ace Hardware for reactor parts, hmmm? (joke! that was a joke! Don't kill me!)

Where did you hear this from??? What is happening with the nukes there now? My son started in Sept, they shut down in Oct, and he still hasn't started back up. Is this going to affect him? There is also a class behind him.

I would be curious to know where this is coming from.....

Good afternoon - in 4 days I will be picking up Spencer! I am so excited. I know that I have to get used to him being gone for holidays, but it was a nice surprise that he got to come home.

For those that can't have their loved ones home this year - I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

On another note for the day - -25 degrees for the day will take the breath out of you QUICKLY!!!!! Good thing I don't have to go anywhere today!!!

Debbie - as far as I know there will be no refresher. They just have to pick up where they left off.

Also, how do you get the songs for your page? And a slideshow? I asked before about the slideshow, but couldn't figure it out.

I know that Spence got his passport right away when he got to NY - but I think that was because him and his friends were going to Canada for weekends.

I pray everyday for our sailors - that they can come home for xmas, that they are safe, that if they can't come home for xmas they have somewhere to go, and for those overseas - be safe and we are praying and thinking about you!

Trina
